Great food for the whole family!
"Finally a restaurant that offers fabulous salads and grilled fish… instead of the usual deep fried everything on the menu. Matt our waiter was prompt, made great suggestions…overall a great experience.”

Amazing!
“We popped in to have appetizers and we were pleasantly surprised! We had chicken nachos, fried cheese and the gumbo. All of it was sooo delicious. We had all of this plus 2 drinks for only $25. The service was also awesome. Will be coming back for sure!”

Known for their nachos & beer!
“We try to visit once a month. Spring break will bring the crowds, but it is worth the wait. Great service, outdoor dining when weather is good, we love this place. Hate to say it, but spread the word, Shades is great! “

OMG!
"Oh my gosh. Perfect meal. Started with calimari. Perfectly seasoned and friend in a light batter. A plus was the addition of tiny pieces of the octopus legs. My dinner was grilled grouper. Extremely fresh. Served over sweet pea risotto with a heavenly roast red pepper cream sauce. Risotto is not an easy dish, this was perfect, with a good toothy bite to it. My husband had grouper tacos served with black beans and rice. Chipolte aioli, roasted corn salsa lime and cilantro cream. A great fish taco is what he says, very traditional. Hey says "this is a fish taco". And he's a chef. Our server Connie was awesome. Spot on with the recommendations and service. And great drinks!"

Shades stands out!
"In an area with many very expensive choices of places to dine, Shades stands out as a good choice for those not wanting to spend insane amounts of money for great food you can get for a reasonable price instead. Family friendly with many TV sports viewing choices. We had the Po Boy Grouper sandwich and it was excellent!"

“The food and service was excellent. The lump crab cakes are actual lumps of crab and not bread filled hockey pucks. The kids loved that they had Kraft Mac n' Cheese.”
